DC's Legends of Tomorrow

DC's Legends of Tomorrow, or simply Legends of Tomorrow, is an upcoming American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, who also executive produce with showrunner Phil Klemmer, Sarah Schechter and Chris Fedak. It is scheduled to air on The CW, debuting on January 21, 2016. The series is a spin-off from Arrow and The Flash.

GOTHAM

A new recruit in the Gotham City Police Department, James Gordon is paired with veteran detective Harvey Bullock to solve one of Gotham City's highest-profile cases: the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne. During his investigation, Gordon meets the Waynes' son Bruce who is now in the care of his butler Alfred Pennyworth. Meeting the younger Wayne further compels Gordon to catch the mysterious killer. Along the way, Gordon becomes involved with Gotham's Mafia families and associates including gangster Fish Mooney, Don Carmine Falcone, and Don Salvatore Maroni. Eventually, Gordon is forced to form an unlikely friendship with Bruce, one that will help shape the boy's future in becoming Batman.

In Season Two, Gordon deals with the criminal activities that are secretly orchestrated by Theo Galavan and his sister Tabitha as part of a plot to run Gotham City and get revenge on the Wayne Family by targeting Bruce Wayne. Theo and Tabitha's ancestor Caleb Dumas had part of his right hand cut off by Jonathan Wayne for an affair with Jonathan's sister Celestine, who claimed she had been the victim of assault. This led to the Dumas family's ostracism and financial ruin by the powerful Wayne family, and many members of the Dumas family fleeing to Europe to a religious sect formed by their family's patron saint. Those Dumas who remained in Gotham changed their surname to Galavan.

Supergirl

Twenty-four-year-old Kara Zor-El (Benoist), who was taken in by the Danvers family when she was 13 after being sent away from Krypton, must learn to embrace her powers after previously hiding them. The Danvers family teaches Kara to be careful with her powers, until she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism even when it comes to protecting National City. Kara discovers that hundreds of the criminals her mother (Benanti) prosecuted on Krypton are hiding on Earth, including her mother's twin sister (also played by Benanti). She is aided by a few close friends and family who guard her secrets.

The Flash

After witnessing his mother's (Michelle Harrison) supernatural murder and his father's (John Wesley Shipp) wrongful conviction for the crime, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is taken in by Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and his family. Allen becomes a brilliant but socially awkward crime scene investigator for the Central City Police Department. His obsession with his tragic past causes him to become an outcast among his peers; he investigates cold cases, paranormal occurrences, and cutting-edge scientific advancements that may shed light on his mother's murder. No one believes his description of the crime—that a ball of lightning with the face of a man invaded their home that night—and Allen is fiercely driven to vindicate himself and to clear his father's name. Fourteen years after his mother's death, an advanced particle accelerator malfunctions during its public unveiling, bathing the city center with a previously unknown form of radiation and creating a severe thunderstorm. Allen is struck by lightning from the storm and doused with chemicals in his lab. Awakening after a nine-month coma, he discovers he has the ability to move at superhuman speeds. Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), the disgraced designer of the failed particle accelerator, describes Barry's special nature as "metahuman"; Allen soon discovers that he is not the only one who was changed by the radiation. Allen vows to use his gifts to protect Central City from the escalating violence of metahuman criminals. He is aided by a few close friends and associates who guard his secrets.

Months after the events of the first season, after a singularity event, the Flash is recognized as Central City's hero. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), the Flash from a parallel universe, visits Barry and warns him another speedster named Zoom is trying to eliminate everyone connected to the Speed Force throughout the multiverse. Jay works to help Barry stop Zoom.
